Dragons! Villains! Treachery and intrigue! Bloody excellent. I liked The Adamantine Palace enough to read the second book in the series, and I'll definitely
be picking up The Order of the Scales.
The writing is still a bit awkward in places, but the world-building is fantastic. I also like that there's no black-and-white good or bad guys here, and whilst the characters change alliances to achieve their goals, so the reader's perception of their motives changes constantly, leading to a frequent re-assessment of where one's sympathies lie. I enjoy this game a lot. Go, Jehal!
